Fewer, clearer alerts and a weekly summary for small visual changes
v2.244.0
- NewSmall visual changes can now go into a weekly or daily summary email instead of alerting. Big changes still alert you straight away. Turn it on in a monitor's visual settings, or for many monitors at once from the monitors list.
- ImprovedReminders for a site that stays down now space out: after 1, 2, 4 and 8 hours, then once a day. Email and push reminders stop after 3 days with a final note, and every reminder has a Stop reminders link. The recovery alert still arrives.
- ImprovedA single failed check no longer opens an incident on its own. We check again about a minute later and alert only if the site is still down.
- ImprovedNew monitors accept any normal success or redirect response, not only one specific code.
- ImprovedA visual change now needs two matching screenshots before we say the page is back to normal. A page that keeps changing and changing back pauses its alerts and points you to the setting that hides moving parts like sliders.
- ImprovedVisual changes in a new monitor's first 24 hours appear in your in-app notifications instead of being emailed.
- ImprovedAlert emails now have a one-click unsubscribe for that monitor, and an outage and its recovery arrive in one email thread. Alert settings show who unsubscribed and let you ask them to turn alerts back on.
- ImprovedAlert settings now show addresses whose emails are bouncing. Temporary bounces clear on their own after 7 days.
- ImprovedUnsubscribe links now ask you to confirm, so email security scanners cannot unsubscribe you by accident.
- ImprovedYou can now add custom headers to a webhook channel in its settings, and saved webhook addresses are hidden.
- ImprovedThe payment window now tries again if it is slow to load, and says what to allow if a browser extension blocks it.
- ImprovedMarketing emails now include our postal address.
- FixChoosing a plan during setup now retries if the save fails for a moment.
- FixSigning out no longer leaves background errors on the page.
- SecurityEnhanced security hardening.
