Client reports now arrive as a PDF and show exactly what changed

v2.88.0

Your scheduled monitoring reports are now a document you can hand to a client or keep on file, with a new section that proves what happened on the site this period.

  • NewScheduled weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly reports now include a PDF copy attached to the email, with your branding when white-label is enabled. Every PDF is also archived in your account with a download link, so past reports are always retrievable.
  • NewReports include a new "What Changed This Period" section listing detected page appearance changes and content edits, with dates and how much changed. A quiet month says so explicitly, which is exactly the reassurance a client wants to see.
  • ImprovedReport emails with Google Search Console connected already showed search clicks and impressions; the pricing page and homepage now say so too.

Adding a monitor is more forgiving of momentary glitches

v2.86.8
  • FixAdding or editing a monitor no longer fails when your website address cannot be looked up for a brief moment during setup. A momentary glitch is now retried automatically instead of blocking you.

Sharper visual monitoring for frequently-changing sites

v2.86.0
  • ImprovedVisual monitoring now catches layout problems faster on websites that update or reload content very frequently. Pages that looked different on almost every visit could previously delay a visual check, so a broken layout might go unnoticed for a while. Those sites are now recaptured promptly, so layout breaks surface sooner.
  • FixFixed a rare case where a failed visual capture could hold up the next scheduled screenshot for a monitor.

Setup checklist now tracks your progress

v2.85.0
  • FixThe setup checklist in the sidebar now correctly detects what you have already completed. It previously missed alert channels, status pages, team members, and visual monitoring you had already set up.

Polish across the dashboard

v2.84.0
  • FixIn light mode, selected filters, checked options, and highlighted rows on several settings pages were nearly unreadable (the text and background used the same color). Everything now shows a clear, readable highlight.
  • FixThe bulk "Disable Alerts" action on the Alert Settings page now works. It previously failed every time with a validation error.
  • FixChanges you are still making in the alert settings panel are no longer discarded when a bulk action finishes in the background.
  • FixPaused notification channels can now be assigned to monitors from the alert settings panel, matching how the bulk dialog already behaved.
  • ImprovedThe navigation now shows a small loading indicator while the next page is on its way, so you can tell your click landed.
  • ImprovedClicking Configure while already on the settings tab now scrolls you to the settings panel instead of doing nothing.
  • ImprovedAlert types that your plan cannot trigger are now clearly marked instead of looking like every other option.
  • FixOn the free speed test tool, clicking near the left edge of the address field now focuses it, and error messages can be dismissed.

A home for our mobile apps

v2.83.0
  • NewNew apps page at visualsentinel.com/apps with everything about our mobile apps in one place. The Android app is available now on Google Play, and the iPhone app is on its way to the App Store.

Server history improvements

v2.82.2
  • FixThe longer server history views (14, 30, and 90 days) now include your existing recent history right away instead of starting empty and filling up over time.
  • ImprovedHistory ranges that need a higher plan now appear locked with a note about what your plan includes, instead of being hidden.

Filter your monitors and see response times per region

v2.82.0
  • NewThe monitors page now has one-click status filters (operational, degraded, down, changed, waiting, paused) with exact counts for your whole fleet, even when you have hundreds of monitors.
  • NewEach monitor in the list now shows its latest check result per region (Europe and United States), so you can tell at a glance whether a slowdown affects everyone or just one part of the world.
  • ImprovedMonitors that have not been checked yet now clearly show "Waiting for data" instead of placeholder numbers, and response times only appear when they were actually measured.

VisualSentinel is now on Google Play

v2.81.0
  • NewThe VisualSentinel Android app is now available on Google Play. Get push notifications for downtime and other alerts straight to your phone, and check on your sites from anywhere. You will find a download link in the footer of our website.

Clearer plan prompts for custom email settings

v2.80.1
  • ImprovedThe custom email (SMTP) settings under Branding now clearly show when the feature requires a higher plan, with a direct link to view plans, instead of letting you fill in a form that could not be saved on your current plan.

Longer server metrics history

v2.80.0
  • NewServer monitoring now keeps a longer history of CPU, memory, and disk usage going forward, so you can review trends over weeks instead of just the last several days. How far back you can look depends on your plan (14 days on Solo and Starter, 30 days on Business, and 90 days on Agency), and the time range selector on each server now shows exactly the ranges your plan supports.

Security hardening

v2.79.15
  • ImprovedEnhanced security hardening.

More accurate regional privacy detection

v2.79.13
  • FixImproved the accuracy of region detection used for privacy and consent defaults. Visitors whose region cannot be determined reliably now get the correct experience based on their device settings instead of a wrong guess.

Smoother browsing with translation tools

v2.79.12
  • FixFixed a rare page crash that could occur while viewing the dashboard with a browser translation feature turned on.
  • ImprovedEnhanced security hardening.

Setup snapshot retries and a clearer fallback

v2.79.8
  • FixIf the first snapshot of your website cannot be taken right away during setup, we now retry automatically and offer a Try again button, with a clearer explanation of what is happening.

First website snapshot is more resilient

v2.79.7
  • FixThe first snapshot we take of your website during setup now automatically retries when a domain lookup has a brief hiccup, instead of failing right away.

Deleted monitors can be restored for 24 hours

v2.79.0
  • NewDeleting a monitor is no longer instantly permanent. Deleted monitors keep their full history (checks, incidents, and settings) and can be restored for 24 hours, either from the undo prompt shown right after deleting or from the Recently deleted list on the monitors page. After 24 hours they are removed for good.

DNS and performance settings now save and apply consistently

v2.78.21
  • FixChanging which DNS record types a monitor watches now takes effect. Previously, edits to those selections could appear saved while checks kept using the old set.
  • FixPerformance thresholds set when creating a monitor now appear on the edit screen, and thresholds saved from the edit screen are now applied by performance checks. Previously each screen kept its own copy of the settings and they could drift apart.

Keyword checks from all regions read the full page

v2.78.20
  • FixKeyword and required-text checks running from non-EU regions now evaluate the entire page. Previously, on large pages, text appearing far down the page could be reported as missing by those regions, which could escalate a brief hiccup into an outage alert.

Content freshness monitoring is live

v2.78.14
  • NewContent freshness checks now work end to end. When enabled on a content monitor, we find the most recent date on the page (automatic detection, or your chosen format, custom pattern, and timezone) and alert you when it is older than your maximum age. Ideal for feeds, data exports, and frequently updated listings.
  • ImprovedFreshness alerts fire once when content goes stale instead of repeating on every check, and use clear "content out of date" wording with the newest date found.
