Polished social preview image

v2.67.1
  • ImprovedRefreshed the social and link-preview image to match the product look, plus behind-the-scenes search-indexing hardening.

Search-engine and structured-data refinements

v2.67.0
  • ImprovedBehind-the-scenes search-engine indexing and structured-data improvements.

Faster-indexing homepage + a version stamp

v2.66.0
  • FixHomepage sections below the hero now render for search engines and visitors without JavaScript, instead of only appearing after scripts load.
  • FixFixed a section heading that was hard to read in light mode on the visual monitoring page.
  • ImprovedThe app version and build time now appear at the bottom of the sidebar; click it to open the changelog.

Full per-region response-time history

v2.65.6
  • FixCharts now show per-region (e.g. EU and US) response-time history across your full retention window, not just the most recent couple of weeks.

More accurate, less noisy alerts

v2.65.5
  • FixAn outage no longer also triggers a separate "slow response" alert for the same check.
  • FixRemoved a rare case where the same alert could be delivered twice.
  • FixA site that briefly recovers and then fails again no longer sends a premature "back online" message.
  • FixOutages affecting several monitors on one server now group into a single incident more reliably.
  • ImprovedMonitoring keeps self-correcting reliably as your number of monitors grows.

Smoother monitoring charts (fewer gaps)

v2.65.4
  • ImprovedMonitoring charts now size their time buckets to your check frequency, so monitors that check less often no longer show empty gaps between data points.

Fixed monitoring history being trimmed too aggressively

v2.65.3
  • FixFixed an issue where free-plan monitoring history could be cleared too aggressively. Recent checks are retained and long-term daily summaries are preserved as intended.

New monitors start checking reliably

v2.65.2
  • FixFixed a rare case where a newly added monitor could sit without running checks until later. Monitors now begin (and automatically recover) within a few minutes of being created or enabled.

Reliability and privacy-region accuracy fixes

v2.65.1
  • ImprovedImproved accuracy of visitor region detection used for privacy and consent defaults.

Stronger defacement detection

v2.65.0
  • ImprovedContent monitoring now recognizes when a change looks like website defacement or injected spam, so malicious changes to your pages are surfaced faster and more clearly.

New guide: what is visual website monitoring

v2.64.0
  • NewAdded a clear guide that explains what visual website monitoring is, how it works, and how it differs from uptime and content checks, with real before-and-after examples.
  • ImprovedRefreshed the homepage and About page so it is clearer at a glance what Visual Sentinel does and who builds it.

Search and structured-data polish

v2.63.1
  • ImprovedPolished how our public pages (status checkers and comparison pages) describe themselves to search engines, with cleaner page descriptions and tidier structured data, so they appear more accurately in search results.

More reliable billing-event handling

v2.63.0
  • ImprovedHardened how billing events are processed so a retried payment notification is always handled exactly once, even during a brief internal hiccup.

Resume no longer reactivates monitors you turned off

v2.62.0
  • FixWhen a paused subscription resumes, only the monitors that the pause turned off are switched back on. Monitors you had intentionally disabled before the pause now stay off, so you will not get surprise alerts from endpoints you retired.

Trial, onboarding, and verification-banner fixes

v2.61.0
  • FixFixed the in-app trial offer shown at locked features. It could silently fail to open, and starting or dismissing a trial was not always recorded. Starting a trial from a locked feature now works reliably.
  • FixSmoother first-run setup: status, SSL, and domain details now fill in live as we check your site, the Continue button stays in reach without scrolling, and the first visual baseline is captured faster.
  • ImprovedThe "please verify your email" banner is now easier on the eyes in both light and dark mode.
  • ImprovedEmail alert recipients are verified more consistently, so the "verify" notice you see always matches whether an alert will actually be delivered.

More dependable alerts, plus a refreshed homepage and onboarding

v2.60.0

A reliability-focused release: clearer, more dependable alerting across the board, alongside a redesigned homepage and a smoother getting-started experience.

  • ImprovedOutage alerts are more dependable for sites monitored from more than one region. A confirmed outage now triggers a down alert promptly instead of waiting.
  • FixMonitors set to not repeat alerts now send a single alert per change, instead of re-sending on every check.
  • FixDuring very long outages, alerts no longer repeat unexpectedly after about a day.
  • ImprovedNotification channel availability now matches your plan correctly after an upgrade or downgrade.
  • ImprovedA redesigned homepage and a smoother getting-started experience that shows new accounts a real before and after visual check right away.
  • FixClearer message if the billing portal is briefly unavailable, so it is obvious to simply try again in a moment.
  • SecurityEnhanced security hardening.

More reliable outage alerts, plus footer and menu fixes

v2.59.1
  • FixOutage alerts now escalate reliably for monitors on longer check intervals. Previously a monitor checked less often than every few minutes could stay marked only as "degraded" during a real outage without opening an incident or sending a down alert. It now escalates and alerts correctly no matter how often it checks.
  • FixFixed the links in the site footer, including the social and RSS links, which were not clickable.
  • FixFixed the mobile navigation menu, which could open without showing its links after you scrolled down the page. The full menu now opens correctly.
  • FixWhen a site's SSL certificate cannot be verified, the alert now says exactly that, instead of reporting the site as "not responding" when it had actually answered. Clearer alerts during certificate changes and renewals.

Clearer recovery alerts, smarter site links

v2.59.0
  • FixServer recovery alerts are now clearly distinct from one another. When a server's own health (CPU, memory, disk, or load) returns to normal you get a "server health recovered" message, and when several sites hosted on the same server were failing together and are responding again you get a separate "outage resolved" message. The two no longer look like a duplicate.
  • NewSite-to-server links now follow a site when you move it to a new host. If a monitored site moves to a different server you already track, its link updates on its own, so each server's linked-site count and grouped-outage alerts stay accurate after a migration. Links you set by hand are always left exactly as you set them.

Faster visual-change recovery

v2.58.1
  • FixA monitor flagged for a visual change now returns to normal on its own regular check schedule once the page is back to its baseline, instead of sometimes waiting hours for the next periodic scan. Recovery re-checks follow the visual check interval you set for the monitor (and your plan), so a monitor set to check hourly re-checks hourly.

Quieter, more accurate alerts

v2.58.0
  • FixSites whose speed briefly fluctuates no longer flip back and forth between "slow" and "recovered" alerts. A site now has to be consistently fast again before we mark it recovered.
  • FixWhen a server is under heavy load, recovery and status messages now name the load directly instead of pointing at an unrelated metric.
  • ImprovedFiltered out a class of meaningless browser error reports (opaque cross-origin script errors from in-app browsers) so error tracking stays focused on real issues.
