Sharper server alerts

v2.57.0
  • ImprovedServer health diagnosis is more accurate. When a linked site times out while its server is under heavy load, the alert now points to the server instead of guessing at a network cause.
  • FixServer recovery alerts now show the correct duration and wording, and report how many linked sites are back to normal.
  • NewA server that stays under heavy pressure now opens an incident automatically, and it resolves on its own once the server settles. Brief spikes stay as a quick notification.

Cleaner settings page

v2.56.0
  • ImprovedRefreshed the Settings page into a single, scannable list so alert channels, billing, access, and integrations are easier to find at a glance.

Server alert reliability

v2.55.3
  • FixServer threshold alerts now always send the all-clear. If a server recovers during the alert quiet period, the recovery notification is delivered when the quiet period ends instead of being skipped.
  • FixFixed a timing issue that could deliver the same cluster recovery notification twice.

Cloudflare integration resilience

v2.55.2
  • ImprovedIf the Cloudflare API has an outage, your zone list now loads from the cached copy and DNS actions return a clear retry message instead of an error.

Domain expiry monitoring arrives

v2.54.0

An expired domain takes down your website, email, and APIs all at once. Visual Sentinel now watches your domain registration on every plan, including Free.

  • NewDomain expiry monitoring: get alerts 50, 30, 20, 13, 6, 3, and 1 days before your domain registration expires, on email, WhatsApp, Slack, Discord, Teams, Telegram, or webhooks. The 50-day alert gives you time to review renewal terms and transfer locks before expiry.
  • NewNew free Domain Expiry Checker tool: look up the expiry date, registrar, and transfer-lock status published by a domain registry. No signup needed.
  • ImprovedMonitor pages show a Domain card next to SSL with the expiry countdown and registrar, and notification channels gain a separate Domain expiry filter so you control exactly where these alerts go.
  • ImprovedIf a domain expires, one incident is created and resolved automatically when the renewal is detected. Alert tiers are configurable per monitor.

Incident history completeness

v2.53.1
  • FixAutomatic incident updates (reopens and escalations) now always appear in the incident timeline. Previously some system-generated entries could be missing.

Diagnostics reliability

v2.53.0
  • ImprovedImproved internal error diagnostics so issues are caught and fixed faster. No product changes.

Free tools get more helpful

v2.52.0
  • ImprovedThe free website status checker now includes a visible FAQ and an HTTP status code reference explaining what each code means and what to do about it.

Reporting accuracy

v2.51.0
  • ImprovedInternal analytics accuracy improvement. No product changes.

Monitoring hygiene

v2.50.2
  • ImprovedInternal monitoring noise reduction. No product changes.

Release-process reliability

v2.50.1
  • ImprovedInternal release-process reliability improvement. No product changes.

WhatsApp alerts complete their server-context upgrade

v2.50.0
  • ImprovedVisual and content change alerts on WhatsApp now include the same one-line server diagnosis as down and slow alerts when a linked server is involved.
  • ImprovedRecovery and resolved notifications with a linked server now state the server condition plainly (for example "All metrics normal"), instead of raw resource readings on WhatsApp. Email and chat channels show the same status line.

Knowledge Hub cleanup

v2.49.1
  • ImprovedConsolidated overlapping Knowledge Hub guides so searches and links land on the strongest version of each topic. Old URLs redirect automatically.

Get notified when a service you are checking comes back up

v2.49.0
  • NewFree status pages (for example "Is AWS down?") now offer recovery notifications: while a service is down or degraded, leave your email and receive a single message the moment it is confirmed back up. No account needed, one email only, with an unsubscribe link.
  • FixThe free status checker now reports a partial outage (down from one region, up from another) as degraded instead of fully up, with a clearer explanation of what was observed.
  • ImprovedAlert emails got a polish pass: clearer labels, consistent timestamps with timezones, clickable links, readable values instead of internal codes, and tidier layouts across every alert type.
  • ImprovedThe homepage and product pages now explain alert correlation: when one server affects many sites, you get a single alert naming the cause instead of a separate message per monitor.

Comparison pages now explain alert correlation

v2.48.2
  • ImprovedThe UptimeRobot comparison now covers alert correlation: when one server affects many of your sites, Visual Sentinel sends a single alert naming the root cause and the number of affected sites, instead of a separate message per monitor.

Smoother experience for visitors using browser auto-translation

v2.48.1
  • FixResolved a rendering glitch that affected visitors whose browser automatically translates pages. Pages now opt out of machine translation, which was interfering with page loading for some international visitors.

WhatsApp alerts for every event type, and server context on more alerts

v2.48.0
  • NewWhatsApp now covers every alert type. Server load, server-wide outage and recovery, alert rules, visual baseline updates, and channel tests previously could not be delivered on WhatsApp; each now arrives as a properly formatted message. Alert-rule notifications also got dedicated WhatsApp messages that state the rule, the condition that triggered (for example "Response time 872ms exceeded the 500ms threshold"), and its severity, instead of borrowing the outage wording.
  • NewThe "is the server the cause" readout that down and slow alerts gained now also appears on DNS change, anomaly, and performance alerts (one-line verdict on WhatsApp; full CPU, memory, and disk readings plus the verdict on email, Slack, Discord, Teams, Telegram, and webhooks). Visual and content change alerts include the server readings on those channels too.
  • ImprovedServer-wide recovery notifications now state how many monitors are back to normal, mirroring the affected count on the outage alert.
  • ImprovedTesting a WhatsApp notification channel now delivers a real test message to your phone instead of reporting that test delivery is unavailable.
  • ImprovedInternal cleanup of the legacy notification delivery path; all alerts now flow through the unified delivery layer introduced earlier this cycle.

Down and slow alerts now tell you whether the server is the cause

v2.47.13
  • ImprovedWhen a down or slow alert fires on a monitor with a linked server, the alert now reads the server: whether it is the bottleneck (and which resource is saturated), or healthy enough that the cause is likely elsewhere (an application issue, or a network-tier event such as a traffic flood). Email, Slack, Discord, Teams, Telegram, and webhooks include the full CPU, memory, and disk readings alongside this; WhatsApp shows just the one-line verdict to keep the message concise.

Clearer recovery alerts and cleaner email colors

v2.47.12
  • FixRecovery alerts now show how long your site was down, or how long it was responding slowly, right in the email itself (previously this only appeared in the plain-text fallback).
  • ImprovedRefreshed the accent color used across alert emails for a cleaner, calmer look.

Smarter diagnosis when a site times out but the server looks fine

v2.47.11
  • ImprovedWhen a monitor times out while its linked server’s CPU, memory, and disk all look normal, the incident diagnosis now flags a likely network-tier cause (a traffic flood or connection exhaustion) that resource metrics cannot see, instead of reporting everything as normal.
