What is an SSL certificate checker?
An SSL certificate checker validates the SSL/TLS certificate installed on a web server. It verifies the certificate is properly configured, not expired, issued by a trusted authority, and matches the domain it's installed on. SSL certificates encrypt data between visitors' browsers and your server. If a certificate expires or is misconfigured, browsers display security warnings that drive visitors away and can break payment processing on e-commerce sites. Visual Sentinel's free SSL checker inspects the full certificate chain, reports issuer, expiry date, key size, signature algorithm, and Subject Alternative Names. For ongoing protection, set up continuous SSL monitoring that alerts you at 13, 3, and 1 day before expiry.
