Why do iCloud Photos show a sync error during an outage?
The Photos app pushes changes (new photos, deletions, edits) to iCloud and receives changes from other devices. During a Photos service outage, sync indicators stall. Locally-cached photos remain visible; new photos taken during the outage queue and upload once the service recovers.
Can I get my iCloud email during an outage?
